About the Issue
Milwaukee County faces significant fiscal and structural challenges that threaten the quality-of-life services you and your family enjoy – including the Zoo, Parks, and Museums – as well as vital services such as behavioral health, transit and public safety.
Milwaukee County is facing a budget shortfall of nearly $500 million over the next five years. Without fundamental reform, your family will be facing dramatic tax increases and/or dramatic reductions in services.
Our Vision
The time to act is now. While the County’s challenges are enormous, we have a unique window of opportunity to address these challenges in a way that will make our community a better place to live, work and play.
Working together, we can make Milwaukee County services residents rely on and care most about, including cultural assets like the Milwaukee County Zoo and the Parks, and crucial services like transit, behavioral health and public safety.
We believe the County and State need to work together to achieve the required fiscal and structural reform of Milwaukee County government.
